Receptionist (Full-Time)

The individual who fills this full-time receptionist position demonstrates that they are capable of carrying out the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Ability to present a professional manner to the public, co-workers, clients, and all other agencies as necessary including on the phone and in person.
  • Ensure all phone calls are answered professionally, timely, and redirected accordingly.
  • Facilitate all necessary form procedures that need to address all needs of the persons served.
  • Maintain an orderly office environment.
  • Must be able to maintain providers schedules, which includes rescheduling as needed and printing daily schedules.
  • Maintain records of all scheduled, rescheduled, and canceled appointments accurately using the proper EMR procedures.
  • Enter data on the computer as procedures indicate, including but not limited to, documentation of all communication from persons served daily.
  • Facilitate insurance verification of persons appointments including verification of current authorizations.
  • Responsible for assisting with the creation and maintenance of new, current, and discharged records.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Working telephone
  • Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license or state identification
  • Pass all regulatory checks
  • Must obtain required trainings
  • Possess reliable transportation
  • Experience in a health care setting preferred
